In addition to participating in an international effort to spread contraception throughout the world, JHPIEGO is promoting the use of contraception, including abortifacient IUDs and drugs. JHPIEGO is also training physicians on insertion of IUDs.
JHPIEGO was a participant (listed as “partner”) in the London Summit on Family Planning.
The whole purpose of the summit on family planning was to have participants commit to increasing the global use of contraception by 120 women and girls by the year 2020. At the 2012 London Summit on Family Planning, JHPIEGO made a public commitment to give $200,000 “to support innovations in the provision of implant/injectable [contraception] services.” JHPIEGO also committed to improving “access to long-acting family planning methods.”
More recently, at the 2016 Family Planning Summit, JHPIEGO updated its commitments and provided an update on its progress. According to the statement from JHPIEGO, in 2015, it provided 436 IUDs and 1,139 implants in Burkina Faso to women desiring long-acting contraception. In addition to this:
“Jhpiego and the State Primary Health Care Development Agency (SPHCDA) implemented a pilot intervention to increase access and utilization of long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) services among rural community members in Nigeria’s Bauchi and Sokoto states. As part of this effort, Jhpiego trained 166 CHEWs from Sokoto and Bauchi states who inserted 3,588 implants in a 6 month time period.”
JHPIEGO also indicated that it “improved access to long-acting family planning methods [IUDs and hormonal implants] in the Philippines and Pakistan.”
On its own website, under “what we do,” JHPIEGO has a page devoted to “family planning and reproductive health” wherein it states that it is providing a wide range of contraception information and services. On that page, JHPIEGO states that its goal is to allow “every woman and girl to choose the contraceptive method that best suits her life stage and lifestyle.” To achieve this, JHPIEGO lists some of its work, whether its the form of contraception it provides, the government advocacy work it performs for greater access to contraception, or the training and indoctrination it fosters for the spread of the contraceptive mentality.
In 2006, JHPIEGO produced a guideline book promoting the use of IUDs, as well as instructions in insertion and removal.
Through our research, we found many more examples of JHPIEGO promoting and distributing all forms of contraception, and working to expand the Culture of Death throughout the world.
Because of JHPIEGO’s unwavering promoting of these grave moral evils, no Christian could ever, in good conscience, support, provide funds or a clean image for this organization.
