St. Paul warned about individuals who “make dissensions and offenses contrary to doctrine,” saying:
“Mark them who make dissensions and offences contrary to the doctrine which you have learned, and avoid them. For they that are such, serve not Christ our Lord, but their own belly; and by pleasing speeches and good words, seduce the hearts of the innocent.” (Romans 16:17-18)
From June 21-24, the heretical Association of United States Catholic Priests (AUSCP), will be holding its annual assembly in Bloomington, MN. The AUSCP poses a clear and present danger to the Catholic Faith in the United States as its very agenda is directed at undermining the core beliefs of the Catholic Faith. With Episcopal support from both American cardinals and bishops, this organization is:
- Promoting Ordained Women and Priestless Parishes
- Endorsing Women’s Ordination to the Priesthood
- Forcing Catholic Adoption Agencies to Provide Children to Homosexual and Transgender Couples
- Gives Venue to Condemned LGBT organizations
- A member of an International Network of Heretical Organizations
So far, the AUSCP is receiving support from Cardinal Wilton Gregory, Cardinal Blase Cupich, Archbishop John Wester (who is the USCCB’s liaison to the AUSCP), Archbishop Robert Carlson, Bishop John Stowe (who is an actual member of the AUSCP), Bishop Robert McElroy, Bishop John Hartmayer, and will be joined this year by Bishop Richard Pates and Bishop William Wack.
In an effort to counter the AUSCP’s work to spread heresy and error, the Lepanto Institute and Catholic Parents Online will be holding a Rosary Rally of Reparation at the location of the AUSCP’s assembly.
