The Association of US Catholic Priests is yet again allowing Sr. Jeannine Gramick, the infamous co-founder of the LGBT pressure group New Ways Ministry, to lead a “colloquia” session at its Annual Assembly being held this week in San Diego, CA.
The Lepanto Institute was able to obtain materials related to the ongoing assembly that included a list of proposed breakout sessions called “colloquia.” Included was the following entry:
“New Ways Ministry: Pope Francis and LGBT Ministry: Where do we go from here? – Sr. Jeannine Gramick and Frank DeBernardo
Since his famous “Who am I to judge” remark on the plane from Brazil in 2013 to his calling for the decriminalization of homosexuality in 2023, Pope Francis has made numerous gestures of welcome toward LGBT people and their families. But what can WE do in our parishes, dioceses, faith communities, and personal lives to follow the Gospel mandate of love of neighbor regarding LGBT people? This interactive session will present some ideas and engage participants to offer their suggestions as well.”
Sr Jeannine Gramick is no stranger to the AUSCP. In 2016, she documented her attendance at the AUSCP Assembly that year and has attended other assemblies since that time. In 2019, she convened a session titled “Supporting Gay Priests in Times of Crisis,” she was also given the AUSCP’s 2022 St. John XXIII Award and her New Ways Ministry has been a regular exhibitor at AUSCP events for many years despite her condemnation by both the Vatican and USCCB.
Sr. Gramick made news most recently by weighing in on the ongoing controversy concerning the Los Angeles Dodgers inviting, disinviting and then re-inviting the anti-Catholic homosexual activist group known as the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.
Sr. Gramick stated:
“While I am uncomfortable with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence using the nuns’ old garb to draw attention to bigotry, whether Catholic or not, there is a hierarchy of values in this situation. The choice of clothing, even if offensive to some, can never trump the works of mercy.
Just as I have great respect for Catholic nuns because of their compassion and good works over the centuries, I applaud the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence for their financial assistance to those in need. I support them because of all their good works. I believe that any group that serves the community, especially those who are less fortunate or on the margins of society, should be honored.”
According to Sr. Gramick, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence should be honored because of their supposed charitable work, which includes giving a grant to Valid USA to purchase chest binders for gender confused youth.
Further “charitable works” of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence including selling blatantly satanic indulgences to raise money for their causes.
In other words, Sr. Gramick is making the case that the openly satanic “charity” work of the Sisters is to be commended.
In addition to this, however, Sr. Gramick was all but dismissive of the Sisters of Perpetual indulgence’s unfortunate “choice of clothing.”

On Easter Sunday, April 9th of 2023, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence held their annual Easter party at Delores Park in San Francisco. According to the event Facebook ad:
The day will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Children’s Easter featuring a special appearance by the Easter bunny, an Easter egg hunt, story time, and other family friendly activities. At the conclusion of Children’s Easter, the community should be advised that the show becomes more adult oriented as the day progresses. While nudity and profanity are prohibited, some parents may find the content objectionable for children under 16 years of age.
At noon, San Francisco trans activist, performer, and RuPaul’s Drag Race star Honey Mahogany will take the Main Stage to host a variety show full of fierce performers, surprise guests and sister miracles. This year’s lineup features San Francisco favorites Connie Champagne, Kitten on the Keys, Polesexual, Baloney, The Cockettes featuring Steven Satyricon, Trixxie Carr, Alex U Inn and The Mommaz Boyz, and a Drag Revue starring Linda Summers, Christina Ashton, Nikita Vega, Theresa Giudcoochie & Tony OMFG! Throughout the day the audience will take center stage as they show off their Easter spirit competing in the colorful Easter Bonnet contest. And of course, Easter in Dolores Park would not be complete without the world-famous Foxy Mary and Hunky Jesus Contests. [emphasis added]
Images and descriptions from the “Foxy Mary and Hunky Jesus” contest are among the most depraved and offensive things we have seen in our work defending Holy Mother Church. We only present them to show the level of hellish behavior that Sr. Gramick is brushing under the rug and implore that all our readers take a moment to offer a prayer of reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and to Mary.
According to a 10 April 2023 story by SFist.com:
“More than 10,000 people came out in the egg-cellent Easter Sunday weather, and with more than 50 people competing in the Hunky Jesus contest (including three large ensemble groups), it had to have been the biggest Hunky Jesus contest ever. We saw a Poppers Jesus, a Mid-Life Crisis Jesus, and a Balenciaga Jesus. (“I invite you to walk with me on the runway of Christ,” he quipped.)”
According to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence Facebook page, the winner of the “Foxy Mary” contest was a performer named “Free Choice Mary.”
Other acts included this “fetus Jesus” taken from Facebook:

Sr. Gramick is excusing all of the above mockery, contempt, derision and blasphemy of Our Blessed Lord and Our Lady by asserting that the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence should in any way be commended and even “honored.”
Her statement is akin to saying that a notorious abortionist and serial killer like Kermit Gosnell should be honored for his community works, despite how he offended some due to unfortunate sanitary conditions in his practice. And, yes, Gosnell did perform some charitable works.
Yet, hers is even worse and UTTERLY INEXCUSABLE. Sr Gramick is selling out Our Lord for the thirty pieces of silver of LGBT activism, and yet AGAIN the AUSCP is giving her a platform. Given the AUSCP’s own history of homosexual activism, is it even a surprise?
The condemnations and censures against Sr. Gramick still stand, despite any private correspondence Sr. Gramick and New Ways Ministry may have received from various bishops or even from Pope Francis. By hosting Sr. Gramick, the AUSCP further entrenches its commitment to the perversion of Catholic morality while attacking the Church’s authentic teaching on human sexuality.
We continue to call on the US bishops to condemn this wicked association of priests and forbid their priests membership.
