Boston Cleaning Collective
The Boston Cleaning Collective (BCC) has received two grants from the Catholic Campaign for Human Development, beginning in 2019. The total amount granted by the CCHD over those two years is $150,000, including the $75,000 grant it received for the 2020-2021 grants cycle.
The Boston Cleaning Collective was founded in 2019, so there isn’t a whole lot of information or history of the organization to examine. That having been said, in 2020 BCC directly promoted an openly LGBTQ business and its president, Marina Maldonado, “likes” LGBTQ organizations on her facebook page. Given this activity in the organizations short history, we have grave concerns about its future activities, which is why we have included this report in our chart of organizational CCHD violations.
On November 8, 2020, BCCD posted the following promotion of a painting company called “InQUEERior Painting.
The same day, Marina Maldonado (BCC’s president) posted the same image.
Marina Maldonado likes a few LGBTQ organizations, the first one being near pornographic.
Conclusion
The Boston Cleaning Collective hasn’t been around long enough to find much that the organization has done, but given the little we’ve found, its trajectory indicates that it will not be long before the organization is actively involved in much worse.
