According to the World Meeting of Families 2015 website, “The theme of the World Meeting of Families – Philadelphia 2015 is “Love Is Our Mission: The Family Fully Alive,” emphasizing the impact of the love and life of families on our society.” For at least one gatekeeper at this event, the definition of “family” includes same-sex couples.

According to the exhibitor contract, Talley Management Group is the “show manager,” and the “show manager” not only holds the right to determine the eligibility of exhibitors, but also reserves the right to reject any application.
As indicated above, Teresa Matozzo is the “Exhibits and Sponsorship Manager” for the World Meeting of Families. What this means is that Ms. Matozzo is a gatekeeper for the event. She has the power to “reject any application” or “limit space assigned to any one company.” And one would hope that an individual in such a position would be one who understands, believes and loves the teachings of the Catholic Church as she acts in the capacity of a gatekeeper for a massive Catholic event. Clearly, this is not the case.
Teresa Matozzo is a homosexual activist in a lesbian relationship. The following images and quotes were taken directly from Ms. Matozzo’s facebook page. In this first image, Ms. Matozzo poses with a rainbow flag (the symbol of LGBT “inclusion”), and in the reflection of the glass behind her, a float of men standing around in their underwear can clearly be seen, indicating her presence at a “Gay Pride” parade.
The next image was taken from Ms. Matozzo’s photo album. It’s the red and pink “equal” sign, which is the symbol widely recognized as support for “marriage equality.”
In Ms. Matozzo’s facebook post from June 15, 2010, she annotates the 11th year of her lesbian relationship, expressing her desire to “marry” her lesbian partner.
The following week, Ms. Matozzo posted about the “Gay Pride” events in New York City.
On August 4, 2010, Ms. Matozzo celebrated the overturning of Proposition 8 in favor of same-sex “marriage.”
In October of 2010, Ms. Matozzo celebrated “National Coming Out Day,” a day for self-proclaimed homosexuals to announce their homosexual acts and attraction.
In July of 2013, Matozzo celebrated the 14th anniversary of her lesbian relationship.
Conclusion
The problem here is very clear and quite simple. An individual responsible for vetting exhibitors and sponsors for a marquee Catholic event should know, love and faithfully serve the Catholic Church. Even just having a mere non-Catholic vet sponsors and exhibitors would be problematic for the simple reason that they wouldn’t have a proper understanding of or vested interest in maintaining the integrity of Catholic teaching among the sponsors and exhibitors. But to place an individual whose very lifestyle is the complete antithesis of the most basic tenets of Catholic moral teaching in such a position is to pose a great danger to the integrity of the event. A shepherd may as well make a wolf responsible for guarding the gate of a sheepfold.
Contact the World Meeting of Families 2015 organizers and let them know precisely why this is a problem and ask how and when this problem will be resolved.

You wanted to know the Chapter and Verse that says homosexuality is a sin. Here it is: Leviticus Chapter 18 Verse 22: ‘You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; such a thing is an abomination.’ I have no doubt this also applies to women.
You do realize homosexual practices were why the ancient cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed. That’s where we get the word ‘sodomy’, which in general refers to any non-procreative sexual activity.
Also, as Michael said, nowhere did he judge or condemn this woman; he was simply pointing out her unsuitability to be mediating a Catholic affair.

Apologists for evil use the Bible quote: Matthew 7:1 “Judge not, lest ye be judged.” When you examine the context of the subsequent verses, it is clearly an admonition to not be hypocritical in judging. It has been used to “justify” all kinds of sin and heresy. Also…..”love the sinner, hate the sin…” This also has been badly abused to basically give a pass to individual’s culpability in their sin. Being a homosexual is like being an adulterer and like being a Christian. It’s what we call people who behave in a certain way. The World Meeting of Families – Philadelphia 2015 and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia review all exhibitor requests and are the only ones who approve or reject all exhibitor applications, and not any vendor. Every exhibitor application is reviewed by staff of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and if necessary, a theologian with the World Meeting of Families.
While there is a third party working on the logistics around exhibiting neither that company nor any of its individual employees is involved in the process of evaluating, approving, or denying exhibitor applications.

I think this will be used to kick the legs out from underneath faithful bishops attending the October synod in order to steamroll the “pastoral mercy” plan at the synod. It makes sense when you’re at war and want to destroy the pillars of the Church.

Was the management group hired by the archdiocese or is it the hire of the convention center? Convention centers often have their own vendors, staff, etc. that conventions must use.
The problem is that fixing the situation will open them up to law suits. Vetting from the start should have been done.
I got quite upset about this and emailed Archbishop Chaput, whom I have known for almost 40 years. He is a rock solid conservative and did wonders in the Denver diocese. He tells me that ‘No one makes a decision about people who attend the World Meeting of Families as exhibitors but my personal staff. The person you write about is just an employee of a company that is helping us with the mechanics of it all and she makes NO DECISIONS about any of this.’
Sadly, this is the kind of issue that comes up with secular contractors. They can’t fire a woman like this because of the laws in the US. I am sure that the Archbishop will insure that she can’t cause any problems.
Why would this surprise anyone? Either most Catholics don’t care or go along with this for reasons they keep regurgitating (Mr. Barry). It is simply ridiculous to place an individual whose moral life–as publicly professed by the individual in question–contradicts Church teaching on sexuality, in a position to influence the selection of vendors at a family event. Such a lack of oversight on the part of the organizers of this event is truly regrettable.
After emailing Archbishop Chaput and the diocese staff, it looks to me like the literature from the ‘Management Company’ is stock information given to vendors at all of the venues they manage. The Archbishop assured me that ONLY diocese employees make these decisions. Believe me, Archbishop Chaput runs a tight ship and he WILL make sure that this ‘Teresa Matozzo’ will NOT have any influence whatsoever. If you don’t believe me, just ask anyone who has worked for him before in Denver. He was like Jesus driving out the money changers. Liberals were not happy with his tenure.
I just wish that this whole thing had been handled differently before it became such a scandle. It appears that the Lepanto Institute should have made some additional enquiries from the diocese prior to publishing this. I fear it will tarnish the reputation of it’s reporting.
Let me put this bluntly: Michael Hichborn commits a grave sin when he (1) attacks private individuals who are doing the work of the Church through CMS or thrid-party vendors who are contracted to perform a service for the Church; and (2) publishes their private information and home addresses for the express and implied purpose of encouraging his readers to attack these private individuals, humiliate them publicly, seek them out at their home addresses that he publishes, physically or emotionally attack them, hurt them and, yes, Michael Hichborn wants other perople to kill gay, lesbian, and divroced persons as well as other sinners in my opinion.
That is why he publishes home addresses. That is why he publishes the names of private individuals. Michael Hichborn, in my opinion, wants to incite his fellow travelers to commit murder. He would be thrilled if that happened in my view. There is no other reason why he deploys this sinful tactic.
Look at these comments! All of you immediately respond by spewing hate at the persons Michael identifies. Guess what. This is how Al Quaeda and ISIS came into being.

Your response sounds a bit hysterical. Perhaps Mr. Hitchborn shouldn’t have published a private address–I don’t see what purpose it serves. However, I am unaware of a single incident of a pro-family Catholic attacking a LGBT advocate. It doesn’t happen. It is always the other way around. Remember the guy who went into FRC wanting to kill employees and shove Chik-Fil-A sandwiches down their throats? He was an LGBT advocate enraged at the pro-family stance of FRC. I would ask you to cite one incident of violence against LGBT advocates perpetrated by a Catholic (or any) pro-family advocate.
What private address was pubished? The only address I see is that of Talley Management.
