Interchurch Medical Assistance World Health (IMA WH) distributes and promotes all forms of abortifacient contraception, condoms, and even surgical sterilizations.
In the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), IMA WH used social and behavior change methods to champion birth control methods such as IUDs and Depo-Provera. According to an article IMA WH posted on its website about one of its projects, “IMA World Health is experiencing increased success in introducing modern family planning methods to hundreds of families in the Lolwa and Komanda health zones.” In fact, explaining that “IMA World Health uses social and behavior change communication” to promote contraception, IMA states that its methods of propaganda have led to a waiting list “for contraceptives such as Depo-Provera shots, intrauterine devices (IUDs) and implants.”
In addition to this, according to a chart produced by the Tulane University School of Public Health, IMA WH supplies contraceptive pills, implants, injectables, IUDs, male condoms, and surgical sterilizations in the DRC.
IMA WH published a report on one of its programs called the “Access to Primary Health Care Project” (ASSP), indicating that it received $283 million for the project spanning 2012-2018. According to this report, IMA WH listed among its “anticipated end of the project results” to be, “Contraceptive prevalence rates increased from 3.7 to 10%, resulting at least with 400,000 new family planning acceptors.”
IMA WH’s Women’s Leadership Project in the Congo boasts of having spread a contraceptive message to over 100,000 women and provided “family planning services” to over 40,000.
In 2014, IMA WH published an annual report regarding its Women’s Leadership Project, illustrating in a chart on page 81 the various methods of contraception IMA WH either promoted or provided:
In order to understand the acronyms listed in the chart, here is what each means:
COC means “Combined Oral Contraceptive Pill“.
POP means “Progesterone Only Pill“.
DMPA means “Depo Provera“.
DIU is the French acronym for Intra Uterine Device (IUD).
Jadelle is a contraceptive implant.
Norplant is another injectable contraceptive like Depo Provera.Implanon is another contraceptive implant, like Jadelle.
Conclusion
IMA WH is distributing and promoting the very worst forms of contraception, and even sterilizing women and men in impoverished nations.
Because of IMA WH’s unwavering promotion of these grave moral evils, no Christian could ever, in good conscience, support, provide funds or a clean image for this organization.
