What should the US do for its spiritual renewal and to give thanks for the graces received. What will happen if it does not comply? We have rarely seen an apparition, in which Heaven has placed so much emphasis on the purity of the soul of the inhabitants of a nation.
There is a revelation that Heaven gave America a privilege and responsibility in the world, but that requires purity of heart, otherwise difficulties will come. Here we will talk about the apparitions that the nun Mildred Neuzil had during the three decades after the war, what revelations she received about the privilege and responsibility that was given to the United States and what were the requirements communicated to her, that that the country had to follow without disobeying.
In a convent in the state of Indiana, in the US, a nun had a series of apparitions, whose message is seen more and more clearly today. Sister Mildred Neuzil, who was called by Jesus and Mary the “white dove,” had visions and messages from the Blessed Virgin, Our Lord, Saint Joseph, Saint Michael, and the guardian angels of the United States, from 1954 to 1984. .
She died on January 10, 2000, at the age of 83, leading a hidden life, rejecting even to make her image public, and keeping private her mysticism. In addition to the especially significant messages explaining what is happening with the United States, in this occasion the Virgin asked Sister Mildred to make a drawing of her first apparition. The drawing was to be enthroned in the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington D.C. That desire of Our Lady was never honored.
Our Lady also asked that a medal be struck in the shape of a shield and around her image these words should appear, “By your holy and Immaculate Conception, O Mary, deliver us from evil.” She said that “those who wear the medal with great faith and fervent devotion to Mary will receive the grace of purity of heart, and sinners will receive the grace of repentance and the spiritual strength to live as true children of Mary.” And she added,
“It will be a shield to protect against evil spirits, and Saint Michael himself will be by the side of those who use it, to dispel all fears at the time of death.”
Bishop Paul Leibold, later the Archbishop of Cincinnati, was her spiritual director from 1940 until 1972, when he died an untimely death. Monsignor Leibold authorized the printing of the messages that the Virgin had transmitted to the nun and in fact, he endorsed the devotion in 1963, as did Cardinal Raymond Burke. But in 2020, Bishop Kevin Rhoades said that there is no evidence of supernaturality, despite the fact that there are no theological errors in the messages, except for the discussion about whether the Virgin and Saint Joseph can be considered co-redeemers with Jesus Christ or not.
What was the central message that Heaven gave Sister Mildred to spread and why is it becoming more and more significant?
In appearances spanning three decades, the call for purity was repeated over and over again, and that peace in America is conditional on her purity. Heaven sent the call of God to America to be a strong light the world, but that call would only be possible if Americans lived lives of purity. No apparition so far has placed such emphasis on the call for purity.
And since in most of the apparitions he called everyone to holiness, he asked for the family Rosary, he emphasized the great need for the reform of life through penance, mortification and self-denial to achieve peace and atone for the grave sins of the nation and the world. In her messages, she also called for prayer and fasting, as well as Holy Mass and the Sacraments, because they are the greatest means to conquer impurity in every area of our lives.
When the Holy Mother of God appeared to her for the first time on September 26, 1956, Sister Mildred heard the sweet voice of the Virgin telling her that she had come to reward how Americans honored the Immaculate Conception, mainly through her Sanctuary in Washington D.C.
And when Sister Mildred asked her what her will was, she replied that America should focus on the virtue of purity, taking the Holy Trinity and the Holy Family as models.
She told him “be my chaste soldiers, ready to fight to preserve the purity of your souls. I am the Immaculate, Patroness of your land”. And Jesus said to her,
“My white dove, if the world dies it is because it does not let me give it life. I am the resurrection and the life, and if souls do not seek their life in Me, disaster and destruction is in men themselves. Do you know what is most missing in the world today? It is faith. There are so few souls who believe in Me and My love?”
Our Lady also said that,
“unless My children reform their lives, they will suffer great persecution. If man is not going to take upon himself the necessary penance to expiate his sins and those of others, God in His justice will have to send a necessary affliction to expiate his sins. They think they have done enough consecrating themselves to My Immaculate Heart but that is not sufficient. What I ask for is more important and many of them are not giving it to me. What I ask for and will continue to ask for is a reform of life. There has to be sanctification from within.”
There, too, there was a very important revelation that can be taken as a response to the rôle of the United States in the world, especially after World War II, and the subsequent departure from Christian morality. The United States, in particular, has been given an enormous but privileged opportunity to lead all nations in a spiritual renewal.
On February 11, 1958 Sister Mildred was told:
“America in particular is being given a tremendous but privileged opportunity to lead all nations in a spiritual renewal never before so necessary, so important, and so vital.” But “unless the United States accepts and faithfully carries out its Heaven-given mandate to lead the world to peace, great ravages of war and incredible suffering will come upon the nation and all peoples. However, if the United States is faithful to this mandate from heaven and fails to pursue peace because the rest of the world does not accept or cooperate, the United States will not bear the punishment about to fall.”
And it was also said there,
“My child, there will be peace, as promised, but not until My children are purified and cleansed from defilement, and thus clothed in the white garment of grace, held back because of sins.” ?
Along with this request several promises were also proclaimed.
Our Lady promised that if her children, in the US, listened to her warnings and granted her requests, there would be greater miracles than those she announced at Lourdes and Fatima. Clarifying with marked emphasis that this would only be achieved through the North American bishops whom she called “her own children who are beloved.”
And also the promise that
“If My warnings are taken to heart and enough of My children constantly and faithfully strive to renew and reform themselves, then there will be no nuclear war.”
A special chapter were the messages of Our Mother to the priests,
“Dear children, take care to maintain the sanctity and dignity of your vocation. Yes, you love my Son and you want to honor me, be the first to give an example of a life of penance and self-denial”.
But the Lord complained saying,
“How they resist my grace! They are so afraid that I will strip them of their tacky trinkets that they turn their backs to avoid seeing the reproach in My eyes. Oh My priests, My religious! What would I not do for you, if you would only allow me? I come each day loaded with graces that you daily reject.
And he added,
“It was this ingratitude on the part of My priests and My religious that caused Me so much pain in My Passion.”
But the Virgin also told him,
“Dear daughter, there are My children who are faithful, among these are My priests and religious who live a life of prayer and dedication to the work of My Son. What a comfort they are to me! But there must be more of those self-sacrificing souls, many more. Until this happens, peace will not come.”
And during the years 1982 and 1983 She warned him, “there are in the high echelons of the Church who disobey and disrespect the Vicar of my Son on Earth.” At that time the Pope was John Paul II.
“They betray the teachings inspired by the divine Spirit sent by My Son to be with the Church until the end of time. There are those who teach false doctrines, and those who repudiate the Holy Sacraments. They are full of intellectual pride. Pray for these poor people who do not realize the misery in which they are and are leading others.”
This apparition in the US that could explain the world leadership of the US in recent decades, and also the internal and external conflicts that could be explained by disobedience to divine orders.
How was the Passion of St. Joseph, what is the mission that Heaven gives him now, and how he wants to be venerated
St. Joseph appeared to Sister Mildred Neuzil in the 1950’s through the 1980’s in Ohio, USA, alongside Our Lady of America and Jesus Christ.
The apparitions of St. Joseph have been few in history, but these were exceptional, because he revealed some unknown things that are worthy of attention. Saint Joseph was presented by the Virgin and Our Lord to report about those things and give advise.
Here we will count the revelations that St. Joseph made to Sister Mildred Neuzil starting in 1958, some of which are being discussed by theologians, and others were already part of popular heritage. We will also show what St. Joseph is asking of men, including how he wants men to honor him.
What made unique the apparitions to the nun Mildred Neuzil during the postwar era was that Our Lady of America and Jesus Christ appeared accompanied by St. Joseph. Very important revelations about the saint were given there.
You will see that, like those revelations from the Virgin to Sister Mildred, those referring to St. Joseph are also critical for correctly understanding the current moment. These apparitions to Sister Mildred were fully acknowledged by Archbishop Paul Leibold, who was her spiritual director from the time he was Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati until he died in 1972. Archbishop Cardinal Raymond Burke was commissioned to examine the apparitions of Our Lady of America, and in his 2007 official assessment he noted that this devotion was already canonically approved. However, in 2020 Bishop Kevin Rhoades said that he found no evidence of supernaturality, despite the fact that there are no theological errors in the messages. However Rhoades did not condemn said apparitions.
The apparition of St. Joseph
On March 11, 1958, the Virgin told Sister Mildred that St. Joseph would appear on the eve of his feast (March 19th) to give a special message, she said, “My holy husband has an important role to play in bringing peace to the world.” And just as she said, Saint Joseph appeared to her as she had promised and made a series of revelations to her over the years.
Joseph told her:
“honoring my paternity in a special way, you also honor Jesus and Mary. The Holy Trinity has placed the peace of the world in our care.”
So he revealed that the Holy Family is designated by Heaven to promote world peace, so we should pray to them for peace.
And she added,
“the imitation of the virtues that we practiced in our little house in Nazareth is the path of all souls towards the peace that only comes from God and that no other can give”.
Joseph also revealed that the Holy Trinity wishes to make known to souls that he
“should be honored and loved within all hearts. Because I bring to souls the purity of my life and obedience. My central importance lies in fatherhood, because all fatherhood is blessed in me. Through me, the Heavenly Father has blessed all fatherhood, and through me, He continues and will continue to do so until the end of time. My spiritual paternity extends to all the children of God, and together with my Virgin Spouse I watch over them with great love and solicitude.”
And what is the underlying message in this?
St. Joseph said it this way, “parents must come to me, the little one, to learn to be obedient to authority: to the Church, always as God’s spokesperson; and to the laws of the country in which they live, to the extent that these do not go against God and their neighbor. Mine was a perfect obedience to the Divine Will, being careless in this is very unpleasant for God and will be severely punished in the world to come. Parents should also imitate my great purity of life and the deep respect I had for my Immaculate Spouse. May they be an example for their children and those close to them, without ever doing anything that could cause scandal among the people of God. Fatherhood belongs to God and must return to occupy its rightful place among men.
When he appeared that time, Joseph seemed to be leaning on a brown cross. From his heart flames sprouted and in the middle of them appeared what looked like a lily. And when he stopped speaking, Sister Mildred was favored with a unique and wondrous vision of the glorious St. Joseph. He seemed to be hovering a short distance above what looked like a large globe with clouds moving around it. His head was slightly raised, eyes looking up as if he were in ecstasy. His hands were in a position similar to that of the priest during the celebration of Holy Mass, only they were extended a little higher. The color of his hair, as well as his beard, appeared to be a very dark brown, and his eyes matched the color of his hair and beard. He was dressed in a white robe that reached to his ankles. Over this he wore a cloak of sorts that draped over his shoulders and hung gracefully over each arm, reaching to the edge of the robe. The cloak sometimes seemed to have the appearance of a shade of brown, sometimes purple, or perhaps a mixture of the two. His waist belt was golden in color, as were his sandals. His appearance was quite youthful, though at the same time he gave the impression of rare maturity, combined with great strength. He seemed a bit taller than average height. The lines of his face seemed strong, but somewhat softened by a quiet serenity. He also saw his most pure heart at that time and the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove hovering over his head.
During the rest of his appearances, St. Joseph made to Sister Mildred some revelations theological in nature that some theologians currently discuss, some agree with them while others do not.
St. Joseph said: “I became, in union with my holy wife, a co-redeemer of the human race. I cooperated, like no other, in the salvation of the world. I was cleansed by God from all sin, immediately after my conception, I was, by the future merits of Jesus and by my exceptional role as future father-virgin, cleansed from the stain of original sin. From that moment I was confirmed in grace and never had the slightest stain on my soul. This is my unique privilege among men. Grace was infused in me in such abundance that, excluding my holy wife, I surpassed the holiness of the highest angel in the angelic choir. My heart suffered with the hearts of Jesus and Mary. Mine was a silent suffering, because my special vocation was to hide and protect the Virgin Mother and the Son from the malice and hatred of men, as long as God wanted.
Another revelation was for Pope Pius XII,
“the Holy Father, Pius XII, need not fear, because I have been designated his special protector. Just as God chose me to be the special guardian of his Son, so he has chosen me as the special guardian of the one who in the Name of Christ is head of the Mystical Body of that same Son on Earth. During the war, my daughter, it was I who saved Pope Pius XII from death at the hands of his enemies. I always watch over him and the Church, and I want this to be recognized for the greater glory of God and the good of souls”.
On the other hand, popular devotion has believed that St. Joseph died some time before the Passion of Our Lord. That he expired surrounded by Jesus and Mary, becoming the pattern of a good death. But here he revealed that he suffered what is called “the Passion of Saint Joseph” in the events of Good Friday. How was this?
Saint Joseph was given foreknowledge of the Passion of Our Lord:
“The most painful of my sorrows was that I knew in advance of his passion, but I would not be there to comfort them. The future suffering of him was always present to me and became my daily cross.”
In these apparitions, the members of the Holy Family stated that St. Joseph must be honored in an exceptional way. How does he want to be honored?
“May my children honor my most pure heart in a special way on the First Wednesday of the month by praying the joyful mysteries of the Rosary in memory of my life with Jesus and Mary, the love I had for them and the pain I suffered with them. May they receive Holy Communion in union with the love with which I received the Savior for the first time and every time I held him in my arms. Those who honor me in this way will be consoled by my presence at his death, and I myself will lead them safely to the presence of Jesus and Mary.”
